The HMS Royal Oak played a pivotal role in the skirmish that broke the French line at the Battle of the Saints and all but guaranteed English domination of the Caribbean.
This rum is dedicated to that ship and the character of the men who sailed her.
Taken exclusively from the bottom plates of St Lucia Distillery’s Coffey Stills and aged for 7 to 12 years in American white oak Bourbon casks it has a well rounded and robust flavour.
Sultanas, vanilla, chocolate and tobacco notes add to its generally sweet taste.
