Peter Logan’s approach is refreshingly untraditional, steadfast in making wines he wants to drink rather than what market trends dictate.
The rich Logan Weemala Shiraz Viognier 2021 is a delightful blend of 96% Shiraz and 4% Viognier grapes, sourced from Mudgee and Orange.
The wine reveals a deep crimson red colour upon being poured in a glass.
The lush bouquet offers indulgent aromas of dark chocolate, mulberry, allspice, fennel and white pepper.
Fresh earth fragrances and a floral lift complete the aromatic nose, which in turn paves the way for a medium-bodied palate.
The drink shows mouth-watering blackberry, plum, liquorice and spice flavours.
All the elements eventually culminate in a long finish.
