Grosset Wines is an independently owned winery, producing seven highly regarded premium wines each vintage.
Remaining small and focused has allowed Grosset to preserve the character and individuality of the wines, developing a significant international profile by producing wines deemed consistently outstanding – benchmarks in their class.
Grosset Alea Riesling 2021 vintage is the tenth release of this distinctly different expression of the variety, inspired by traditional European winemaking.
Very light-yellow hue.
The bouquet is strangely rubbery, earthy and non-fragrant, a note of dried herbs emerging, while the palate is rich and concentrated, deep and full for such a young riesling, the finish dry but silky-soft and texturally lovely.
There is an almost fleshy mouth-feel.
The bouquet needs air, or time.
