Ghost Rock Supernatural Illusions Pinot Noir (formerly known as Pinot X) 2022 vintage is sort of the reverse of an orange wine (white grapes fermented on skins like red wine), this is a white wine made from red grapes taken off their skins immediately and fermented as clean juice.
Colour was encouraged to drop out by way of barrel fermentation and lees stirring.
The result is something unexpected yet familiar.
Textured, full & flavourful.
On the nose is a delectable mix of caramel, white flowers, lemon rind and exotic fruits.
The palate has a strong acidic drive which helps to support the full fruit weighted palate with just a tickle of phenolics for interest.
