Founded on the shores of Lake Biwa in Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture in 2016, Nagahama Distillery is the smallest distillery in Japan.
They produce single malt whiskys and also blends carefully selected whisky purchased from overseas and ages it in Nagahama’s climate.

1, the distillery took on the challenge of ripening after taking advantage of the individuality of red wine cask flavours, and the outcome was outstanding! The appearance is a reddish and glossy brick colour.
The flavour derived from red wine such as raisins and berries and the malty peculiar to Nagahama are in perfect harmony, and you can feel the refreshing orange peel afterwards.
In the mouth, the unique sweetness of the grain spreads throughout, but the moderate astringency tightens the whole.
